Refunds & Cancellations

We want every booking to go smoothly — and when plans change, the rules should be clear. This explains how cancellations and refunds work for both buyers and side hustlers.

Section 01

How refunds work

You're not charged when you book. We collect payment automatically 24 hours before your event starts. Until then, you can cancel for free, there's nothing to refund because nothing has been charged yet.

If you cancel after payment is collected, that is, within 24 hours of the event, a 4% processing fee on the order total is kept and the rest is refunded. The exact terms for your booking are always shown at checkout and on your confirmation.

If you cancel (buyers)

What a cancellation costs depends only on whether payment has been collected yet:

  • More than 24 hours before the event: free. You haven't been charged, so cancelling costs you nothing.
  • Payment is collected automatically 24 hours before the event start time.
  • Within 24 hours of the event: a 4% fee on the order total applies, and the full remaining balance is refunded.
Section 03

If the side hustler cancels

If a side hustler cancels a confirmed booking for any reason, you receive a full refund, including the service fee. Where possible, our team will also help you find a comparable replacement so your event isn't left uncovered.

Repeated or last-minute cancellations by a side hustler affect their standing on the platform and may lead to removal.

Section 04

No-shows and incomplete service

If a side hustler doesn't show up, or delivers materially less than what was agreed, contact us within 48 hours of the event. After reviewing the booking details, messages, and any evidence both sides provide, we may issue a full or partial refund from the held funds.

Section 05

Fees and deposits

There are no upfront deposits. Because payment is collected in full 24 hours before the event, the only possible cancellation cost is the 4% processing fee charged when you cancel inside that 24-hour window.

That 4% covers payment processing and the work of re-coordinating a last-minute change. It never applies when the side hustler cancels or fails to deliver, in those cases you're refunded in full.

Section 06

How to request a refund

Open the booking in your dashboard and choose "Request a refund," or email support@sidehustlrs.io with your booking reference. Tell us what happened and include anything that helps, photos, messages, or timing. The more detail you share, the faster we can resolve it.

Section 07

When you'll get your money back

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Most appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. We'll email you a confirmation as soon as the refund is on its way.

Section 08

Disputes

If you and the side hustler disagree about a refund, our support team can step in to review the booking and make a fair decision based on these policies and the terms shown at checkout. Our determination is final on the platform, though it doesn't affect any rights you have under applicable law.
