Section 01

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to anyone who visits sidehustlrs.io, creates an account, books a service, lists a service, or otherwise interacts with the SideHustlrs platform. It applies whether you are a buyer planning an event, a side hustler offering services, or a visitor browsing the site.

By using SideHustlrs, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. If you do not agree with how we handle information, please do not use the service.

Section 02

Information we collect

When you create an account, browse the marketplace, or contact us, we collect information you give us directly, like your name, email address, phone number, location, payment details, and the content you upload to your profile (photos, bio, services, pricing).

We also collect a small amount of information automatically when you use the site: device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, and how you interact with features. This helps us keep the site working and improve it over time.

  • Account details (name, email, phone, location)
  • Profile content (photos, descriptions, packages, pricing)
  • Booking activity and messages between users
  • Payment information processed by our payment partner
  • Identity verification information for side hustlers (where applicable)

  • Technical data (device, browser, approximate location, IP)
  • Information you choose to provide if you participate in surveys or promotions
Section 03

How we use your information

We use your information to run the marketplace: showing your profile to buyers, processing bookings, handling payments, sending booking notifications, providing customer support, and keeping the platform safe.

We also use it to improve and personalize the experience, for example, surfacing the categories most relevant to where you live or the events you plan, and tuning features based on how the community actually uses them.

We do not sell your personal information. We may use aggregated, de-identified data to understand trends, for example, which categories are most active in the Fresno area.

  • Process bookings, payments, refunds, and disputes
  • Send booking-related notifications and account updates
  • Respond to support requests and resolve issues
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms

Section 04

Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires, we rely on the following legal bases to process your information: (a) performance of a contract with you (for example, fulfilling a booking); (b) your consent (for example, opt-in marketing emails or optional profile content); (c) compliance with a legal obligation; and (d) our legitimate interests, such as preventing fraud, improving the service, and keeping the marketplace safe, balanced against your rights and freedoms.

You can withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Section 05

Sharing your information

We share information with other users only as needed to make a booking work, for example, a buyer sees a side hustler's public profile, and a side hustler sees the contact info of someone who books them.

We work with a small set of trusted service providers (payment processing, identity verification, email delivery, hosting, analytics, customer support tools). They only receive what they need and are bound by their own confidentiality terms.

We may also share information when legally required, in response to a valid legal process, to enforce our Terms, to protect the safety of our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.

Section 06

Your choices and rights

You can review and update your profile information at any time from your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccuracies; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and request portability of your information.

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us at support@sidehustlrs.io. You will still receive transactional messages related to your account or bookings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@sidehustlrs.io. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically within 45 days). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Section 07

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you additional rights regarding your personal information. These include the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and, if applicable, sell or share; the right to delete personal information we have collected from you; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information.

SideHustlrs does not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly share personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out under the CPRA.

You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. To submit a request, email support@sidehustlrs.io with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authority.

Section 08

International users and data transfers

SideHustlrs is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. Data protection laws in the U.S. may differ from those in your country.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect personal information transferred across borders.

Section 09

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure how the site is used, and, with your consent where required, personalize content.

You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected without them. Most browsers also let you send a "Do Not Track" signal; because there is no industry-wide standard for how to interpret these signals, we currently do not respond to them but we treat all users with the same privacy protections described in this policy.

Section 10

Third-party services and links

The SideHustlrs platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or integrations (for example, payment providers, mapping tools, or social media). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

User-generated content posted on the platform (profiles, reviews, messages) may be visible to other users in line with how the marketplace works. Please be thoughtful about what you share.

Section 11

Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we need to keep it for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and ongoing security reviews, to protect your data. No system is completely secure. We'll notify you in the event of a breach as required by law.

Section 12

Children's privacy

SideHustlrs is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will remove the account.

Section 13

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we'll let you know by email or by posting a prominent notice on the site before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when it was last changed.

Your continued use of SideHustlrs after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.

Section 14
